These are toys that you can use to play alone and/or with other children or adults. The most popular items in this class are the Lego blocks – the oldest sets date back to the 1960s, when they only featured red and while blocks. The next generation, launched only a few years later, had yellow and transparent blocks in addition to the red and white ones. This class also includes the presently less popular Leco blocks – creative sets of small building blocks based on a principle similar to that of as Lego and made by Kosovo-Inex, which were very popular in Croatia and its surrounding region in the 1980s. It also includes painted wooden puzzle blocks and various forms of plastic mosaic toys that played a didactic role in addition to the constructive function.
